How this is calculated
Monthly leads equal additional visits multiplied by the visitor-to-lead rate. Monthly customers apply the close rate. Year-one net impact subtracts 12 months of SEO spend and the one-time setup cost from 12 months of gross profit. ROI divides that net impact by total year-one SEO investment.
A forecast you can challenge
Every output traces back to an assumption you can replace. Start conservatively, save the estimate, then update the inputs when Search Console and conversion data show what the work is producing.

SEO ROI calculator FAQ
How do you calculate SEO ROI?
Subtract your year-one SEO costs from the gross profit created by forecast organic customers, then divide the net impact by total SEO investment. This calculator includes monthly spend and one-time setup cost.
Which SEO costs should I include?
Include content, technical work, research, tools, agency fees, freelancers and the internal time used to manage the work. Use gross profit per customer so direct delivery costs are already removed from customer value.
How accurate is an SEO ROI forecast?
Accuracy depends on the traffic, conversion and margin assumptions. Use observed analytics where available, model a conservative case first and update the forecast as rankings and conversions produce real data.
Does this calculator use live keyword data?
This free calculator runs entirely from the assumptions you enter. SearchCrew adds live keyword volume, difficulty, ranking and competitor data when you research the opportunities behind the forecast.
